Inspire Future Voters this Read Across America Day with ES&S’ Annual Book Giveaway!

At ES&S, we believe in the power of civic engagement and encouraging future voters to learn about elections and democracy. In March, we host our annual RAAD Book Giveaway in honor of National Reading Month and Read Across America Day (RAAD), sparking excitement about democracy among young readers nationwide. We support election officials in inspiring future generations of voters by empowering them to donate the books to local libraries, schools and community organizations. Through reading, we can instill a passion for democracy in our future voters.

Since launching this annual giveaway, we have delivered over 60 books to election officials in 25 states. In 2025 alone, we gifted books to 14 winners, and we are excited to make an even greater impact in 2026.

This year’s book!

For RAAD 2026, we’re giving away the wonderful children’s book “If You Go with Your Goat to Vote” by Jan Zauzmer and Andrew Roberts. This lighthearted, colorful book introduces young readers to the voting experience through warm, family-focused storytelling.

How to enter the RAAD giveaway

Entering is easy, with just one step to enter your election office or official.

Just tag them on social media! When the giveaway opens on March 2, tag the election official or election office you’d like to enter in the comments of the RAAD Giveaway post on ES&S’ Facebook or LinkedIn pages. Use the “@” symbol followed by their name or organization — that’s it!
